I did a small experimental portraiture project which involved me doing two portraits for each sitter. With the first portrait I had the control and chose where it ws taken and what they would be doing in each image and for the second we reversed the roles and they were given the control. I told them they were able to chose location, position and include any items they wanted within there own. This enables us to see the differences. I decided to use some friends for this project as I know them and it was more interesting to see the differences and similarities in the images.

I’ve learnt more about studio lighting in the last two days than i ever have!

Capturing an essence of the locals

We went on a boat trip (absolute rip off) but we were able to see lots of temples, however i found that capturing the locals and the surrounding areas and houses around the edge of the river was far more interesting and photogenic :)

Gaudi’s Cathedral,

Not only is it stunning from the outside but the stained glass windows that add a beautiful effect to the Cathedral gives it a modern appeal yet keeping it calm and bewitching. They were one of my favourite aspects of the Cathedral, hence why I focused on them
